Analyzing Daily Consumption

By using this table, you can estimate the average units consumed by all your appliances in a day. For example, if you use your LED TV for 4 hours, the refrigerator runs continuously, the washing machine is used for 1 hour, the geyser for 30 minutes, the AC for 3 hours, and the fan for 10 hours, you can calculate your total daily consumption as follows:

  • LED TV: 4 hours x 0.06 kWh = 0.24 kWh

  • Refrigerator: 24 hours x 0.15 kWh = 3.6 kWh

  • Washing Machine: 1 hour x 0.50 kWh = 0.50 kWh

  • Geyser: 0.5 hours x 2.00 kWh = 1.00 kWh

  • AC (Inverter, 1 Ton): 3 hours x 0.90 kWh = 2.70 kWh

  • Ceiling Fan (BLDC): 10 hours x 0.03 kWh = 0.30 kWh

  • Induction Heater: 1 hour x 1.40 kWh = 1.40 kWh

Estimating Your Monthly Bill

Total daily consumption: 0.24 + 3.6 + 0.5 + 1.0 + 2.7 + 0.3 + 1.4 = 9.74 kWh

Multiply the total daily consumption by the number of days in a month to get the monthly consumption. For example, if the month has 30 days:

Monthly consumption: 9.74 kWh/day x 30 days = 292.2 kWh

You can then use the KSEB Bill Calculator to estimate your monthly electricity bill based on this consumption.

Take Control of Your Energy Usage

Understanding your electricity tariff and the power consumption of your household appliances can help you manage your energy usage and expenses more effectively. Use the power consumption table and the KSEB Bill Calculator to stay informed and make smarter energy choices.

Disclaimer: These values are based on assessed averages. Actual consumption may vary based on the specifications of your appliances.
